I Work for the Coolest Company

When you start a new job, you spend a lot of the first week reading documents about the company and your job, and the policies and procedures that you are supposed to follow. I was pleasantly surprised when I ran across a section entitled "Prohibited Software." Ends up, they don't allow the use of Microsoft Internet Explorer or Outlook! The only exception is for testing web sites. I thought that was so awesome on many levels! :) In reality there are a lot of things that make this job great, but this was the icing on the cake.

Anyways, the new job is going great. I've already jumped into the middle of working on some small tasks. The overall project is changing directions a bit, and I'm excited to see how things are going to turn out. I'm flying up there next week for a week long sprint, and am looking forward to meeting all the other folks in person.

I've been hoping that I would blog about some more technical stuff, but I couldn't resist sharing this with others. Hopefully I'll have some interesting stuff to post soon. Until then, happy trails!
